I've stated somewhere before that my native language is not english :) as if one couldn't otherwise tell...

To the point: I've had Dark side of the sun on my bookshelf for quite a while now, I've started it and then stopped because the language is so difficult it drives me crazy.

I'm probably asking for some starting tips, what is the book really about? What are the main topics involved? And is it really that much more difficult than the other novels (or is it just me :) )?
Thanks for the answers in forehand :)

It was a long time ago, but I think I remember it being a bit abstract/obscure, a bit more difficult to follow than the Discworld series.

With it being science fiction a lot of the words and phrases will be made up, never actually used in English, which adds to the confusion if English is not your first language.

It might work if you just plod through it, not dwelling on the bits that you don't understand, or that don't seem to make sense.
