It's so bizarre, you'd like to believe it's just fiction. I wonder if people (the "public") will leave her alone. Not that it's likely she'sll ever lead a normal life...
What worries me is the necessary cynicism that causes the police to have to do DNA tests to ensure that this girl is actually who she purports to be, since that reflects that there are people about who would fake this sort of situation for publicity, gain or whatever.
They had interviewed the kidnapper back when the girl disappeared, by the way, because he had the right kind of truck and was in the area at the time. They had to let him go, though.
