Colsterworth Music and Drama take their first steps on a big stage when they present Terry Pratchett's Wyrd Sisters at Grantham Guildhall Arts Centre from Thursday, March 30, until Saturday, April 1.
The group has already produced Stephen Briggs' adaptation of the wacky story – a strange twist on Shakespeare's Macbeth – on the village stage.
Set in the tiny country of Lancre, the king is murdered and his baby son, rescued by soldiers, is given by witches the Wyrd Sisters to strolling players. The country is taken over by a nasty duke and duchess. But will the witches help restore the boy to the throne?
Performances are at 7.30pm. Tickets at £6 are available from the box office (Tel: 01476 406158).
Grantham is on the main high speed GNER line about halfway between London and York, England.
