Henry Porter wins Ian Fleming steel dagger award 2005

In brief literary news, the 2005 CWA Ian Fleming steel dagger has been awarded to Henry Porter, for Brandenburg.

The award was announced at this year's daggers lunch, the guest speaker at which was Terry Pratchett - reports the official IFP website.

'Set against the backdrop of the fall of the Berlin Wall in the autumn of 1989, Brandenburg takes the reader into the wilderness of mirrors that was Cold War international espionage. A complex, intelligent thriller by a skilful writer at the top of his game.'
