Okay peoples, I've started a Social group called Board Photographers.

I imagined a place where the photographers** can meet and discuss or swap techniques, news etc. Probably you just want to brag about your recent technolgical aquisition.

**(ie. can you press the button without photographing your own ear?)

I thought it would keep the main board clear of trivia that may only be of interest to a few members.

I think it's a nice idea. But I'm proof reading right now and to busy to start with an actual trivia entry.

It seems I am unfamiliar with half of this board's devices.

I've already sent out invitations to a few people, before I read the recent posts.

To find the social club, look under the QUICK LINKS on the main menu bar at the top of the page. It comes under the network>social groups tab.

I'm in! It was listed under 'Invitations to join Social Groups'. How you're supposed to notice an invitation to a social group in somewhere as obscure as that I just don't know!

Nevertheless, you're perfectly correct, and as this is the first Social Club on the board I'm still learning also.

I only had three choices when I set the board up. Open to all, Moderated or Registered only.
I chose Moderated thinking it would allow any unwanted posts to be removed (in the light of the current spam postings). I didn't realize it would make the club 'invitation only'.

So, if you've received an invite or have asked for one to be sent to you, it will appear as a Notification in the top bar below the main tabs.




Looks like another 'undiscovered' bit of technology we didn't know about... especially Mal

To find the club after you've joined. look along the darker bar where your User CP/FAQ/Members List is situated and click on Quick Links. The Social Clubs are listed under Networking.
