Default Mythology, Fairy Tales, Folk-lore - a question to you readers - 09-21-2010, 17:50

Can anyone recommend books that collect, tell, or re-tell myths (I already know Grimm, Homer), modern as well as classic/ old (for example English, Welsh, Irish, Eastern European, but also from other continents)?
Thanks for tips!

Oscar Wilde's Fairy tales are a little different, incredibly sad but beautiful fairy tales. I think the main title is "The Happy Prince And Other Tales" but they have been published under several titles.

I think I even own Wildes complete work - but have not read them so far. Thanks for reminding me.

Tamyra, the later volumes seem to be the sort of book I was looking for, thanks.
