I find it difficult to believe there has been no roleplaying since september 2008 has everyone just taken it somewhere else?

For the time being, yes, mainly because our main roleplayers are busy with becoming language experts, parents, busy working, freelancing, traveling, and whatnot. It also seems to be that this is one of the forums where newer members are a bit shy to step up and use it.

I have never been accused of being shy, so if anyone is thinking of doing something let me know as I am your man/droid/vampire/creature/entity.
