Default Which DVD box sets do you own or wish to own? - 08-20-2005, 18:49

I thought i'd start a topic because I feel left out. I only had one long running topic on the other board 'which book(s) are you reading' and I was going to duplicate it over here. But someone, not to mention any names, has stolen it and posted it themselves. :(

I do not hope that you ignore this person and throw rotten apples or bodies at him/her but if you do I wouldn't mind and would probably join in, and possibly even lead the way. :p

I will not mention names so as to not put the spotlight on them.

I've got Simpsons serries 1-5, and the entire run of Futurama (serries 1-4),

Grace and I together have The Office's complete run,

i have two out of the three Invader Zim DVDs, but that's not exactly a box set, even if i had it completed.

His Lordship and I have got....

CSI:Crime Scene Investigation series 1-4
CSI: Miami 1 & 2
Band of Brothers
LoTR Trilogy
Aliens Trilogy

Where do I pay my farthing for the rotten apples? I have nothing against Roman I hasten to add and I throw like a girl (which I am of course).... In any event, there's no cause for concern; I was just thinking of starting a Still in the back yard.

-Broken Saints (as mentioned in another thread)
-Buffy the Vampire Slayer seasons 2 and 3.

I think I've filled my geek quota in just this post

My box set collection is lacking... I've got Monty Python's Flying Circus, The Pink Panther, Fawlty Towers, and the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (T.V. series, of course).

I want the Battlestar Galactica season 1 and Azumanga Daioh sets, but they're pricy and not available yet.

Battlestar Galactica - the original one
Comic Strip
LOTR

I'd like to own every Star Trek that ever was.

P.S. I have all the Red Dwarfs on VHS, but I'd still like to have them all again on DVD.

I haven't watched all of these, but in our house there is...

All three Lord of the Rings extended edition box sets majigs and the figurines that come with them. (watched)
Blackadder box set (watched)
Die Hard box set
Biederbeck (sp???) Collection box set
Darling Buds of May box set (watched)
Twin Peaks series one box set (I am in the process of watching... creepy)
Star Wars eps IV - VI box set (watched)
Will and Grace box sets up to series 5 (watched. Repeatedly.)

And lots of Friends DVDs, but not in a box set.

Phew! We have a lot of films!

There's loads I want to get on top of that, but I think you've all had enough boredom for one night.... But come tomorrow... Mwa ha ha!

EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot the Harry Potter ones... We have those too, up to film 3. But my little brother's really the only one who watches them.

I own:

Blackbooks 1-3 (though i lent out 1&2 ages ago and fear I'll never get them back)
Father Ted best of and season 1
Family Guy 1-3 (though my brother 'borrowed' 3 a year ago and lent it to a friend, so i'll never see that-but my housemate has it, so thats ok)
Simpsons 4 & 5 (lent out four to brother friend. Will never see)
Peep show series one
Alan Partrigde 1-3 (someone borrowed season 3)
Monkey Dust season 1
I'm not an animal season 1
Coupling 1
Spaced 1 & 2
Blackadder 2
Little Britian 1
Adam and Joe show: best of
Lengue if Gentlemen season 2

I think I have a wicked comedy collection.

Edit: Oh, I also had the office season 1 but the main disc got lost probably 'borrowed' by my brother before I could watch it. God, I'm never lending stuff out agian. Also My house mate has all the Futurama's so I don't have to get them.

What to get the 'rock Profile' dvd next, and I can't wait for season 2 of Monkey Dust to come out.
