Thank you all.

I took the day off today and have been trying my hand at melt-in-the-middle chocolate puddings. Having tried two I've discovered that you really need to butter the bowl well. They still taste nice though, even if they come out in pieces.

Watched Cloverfield on DVD and had to keep leaving the room at some of the scary bits!

Happy birthday! Sounds like you had a very good day.

Are these the chocolate fondants that people on MasterChef keep trying and screwing up and being kicked out for?

BTW I have the same reaction to scary movies.

There once was a man named Bruce
Who liked to sit on a spruce
He ate lots of chowder
And yelled at me louder:
"I'm talking to YOU, Mrs. Hughes!"

I'm glad to hear that your birthday went well. Did you enjoy the bits of Cloverfield that you managed to see?

That's the ones. They're harder to make than they look and definitely not to be done in a rush.

I did enjoy what I saw of Cloverfield which was probably about 95% of it. Just didn't like those spidery things.

happy belated Jac - I loved those spidery things...they were well creep-tastic.

Q. How do you write?
A. One word at a time.
