I thought the picture was technically brilliant, and an opportunity well caught on "film". Half of taking a good picture is actually, for me, seeing the motif in the first place. Katcal is good at that.

Mainly because Gypsy's photo was quite similar to the one I was intending to post and never quite got around to taking.

A difficult decision with such a wide interpretation of the theme. I liked the whole spectrum of urban and natural decay in Hsing's shot

Mal's photo was a close choice because it reminded me of Titan, the arch-villain, out of the kids programme 'Stingray', but I have to go for Gypsy's sunflower.

I think Hsing's is superb, but I do like the accidental cleverness of Katcal's.

Just felt that Mal's closest met the theme (though it may be by only a small margin ). The others were great as well.
