There is a large list of Discworld Places and Characters on the Informer site that still only have text entries. I'm sure anything you care to contribute will be appreciated by other members
.
Just as a guide , here is an extract of Mal's original post setting out the main criteria for any sketches...

...You can draw anything you like, a person, a place, a building etc – so long as it’s just in pencil or black ink, on a white background (so I can add the pale green background for the site easier), to fit the theme. You can choose any of the topics/pages from the site to add a picture to, including ones that someone has added to already – as if a reporter has gathered sketches from different sources. If there isn’t a page for the character or place you want to draw for we can make that page, assuming we can come up with a bit of text for it.

Any pictures can have your name, or pseudonym, on them and the site will be linked to from this site and, or course, this site will be linked to from that one.

As well as being a place to add some nice pictures the site will serve as another instance of Discworldyness that connects back to us and will eventually, perhaps, bring us some new victims members.
Get that pencil sharpened and give it a shot

What's really annoying for me is that I do not have a scanner. So pictures have plenty of time to get lost or crumpled or go walkabout before I find someone who will scan them for me.

Public libraries have computer equipment including scanners that you can use free of charge.

I'd like to submit something (though I'm afraid it's pen, 'cause I don't have any black pencils - is that ok?). How do I do that? I'm really stupid with the internet :P

How's that?

I have some writing done (who needs sleep? It's highly over-rated):

[moved text to discworld.info]

Hope that's ok. Tell me if I did something wrong...

Really like the Otto picture, Kobble!

Anyway, I have found the original picture of Om, and am going to scan it in and get a better image than the one uploaded at the moment. Also with it were some other unfinished pictures. I think there's one of Detritus, Bloody Stupid Johnson and Death. Will finish and scan!

I was looking through Discworld Informer, and thought that the entry for Dungeon Dimensions was a little odd:

Quote:
Dungeon Dimensions are the endless wastelands outside of space and time.

The sad, crazy things that live there have no understanding of the world, simply craving light and shape. The number eight also seems to attract them which is why wizards are advised to avoid saying it. They are said to resemble a cross between an octopus and a particularly angry bicycle. They can survive in this world under special circumstances, for most, the reality they crave is soon fatal.

They are jealous of all things alive and their main emotion is hatred, stemming from that jealousy, of all 'real' creatures. They are lured by heavy concentrations of magic that thin reality and may allow them an easier point to break through.

Sometimes they breakthrough into a mind, using its mind and body to further their own ends. Magical minds shine like beacons to them. The number eight also seems to attract them which is why wizards are advised to avoid it. Magical minds shine like beacons to them.
It seems that the last two sentences are copied and pasted from earlier text. Who wrote this? Can someone fix it, please?

Stercus! Stercus! Stercus! That's why we haven't seen Buzzfloyd for a while. She's been cloned. <panic>

Hastily picks up a handy King Edward and hurls it at DOR to drive away the evil spirits. All those eyes should help it find its target.

Names, places and names, eh?

The A'Tuin picture can go on the A'Tuin page, believe it or not. Last time I said this it was ignored, but could I have it attributed to 'Psycholera', please. I've just realised that the picture isn't showing on the original post. So here it is again:

The swamp dragon doesn't have a page. It isn't actually a character, it's a species. You could put a bit about it on the magic page. I'm writing something for it, too.

Have to get to work on the remaining horde.
