The message board software has been upgraded to the latest version. It's pretty much the same as before, hopefully, with a few little extras added in like the ability to have "friends" and some kind of little message system inside members' profile viewing area and some other bits and bobs in the profile bit.

It has changed colour, or rather, kept the colours and moved them around.
And logged me out... which took forever to fix because I couldn't remember my password.... I know, I'm a bad person.

Oops, I just wasted hours fixing a booboo that could have been avoided if I'd backed everything up properly after I upgraded. That'll learn me.

So has the message board been upgraded or for some reason have some old features returned with some of the old and all the links and stuff gone haywire?

It should be the same but with a few extra bits in profiles, and a couple of extra options for dealing with spammers.
It looks slightly different because I had to add a new template because there were a lot of code updates applied to vBulletin since last time it was updated. I got it to look as close as possible before switching it back on but there's still a couple of tweaks to do to make it exactly the same colours as before.

It's more that when I first arrive I get told 'Welcome spiky' but when I go to post in a thread I've magically been logged out and am told I may not post etc...
As to the other stuff as I'm on during the night for everyone else the upgrade may have been happening because it looks a lot different this morning than it did yesterday. There's still a little glitch with the front bit Terry Pratchett Unseen Message Board - Discworld Books and Literature Discussions logging you out, but the actual message board bit keeps you logged in: Discworld Discussions
I'm looking into fixing that. I did update some of the colours to make it more like it was originally.

Mal, there's something funny (HA. HA.) about the albums, I can't seem to access them from a profile, say Joculator's, when I click on it I get a message that it's my album and there are no pictures in it (there aren't in mine, there are in his...) is this another L-space issue?
