Some of those same 'problem posters' have joined under new names and, at least for a time, participated in the community without causing complaint or offense. I believe that these people grew bored with trying to prove they could 'trick' us and eventually stopped posting under any name.

It is worth pointing out that many of these people had, in the past, insisted they had no reason to try to fit in with our community or that it was unreasonable of us to ask them to. By trying to infiltrate our community and pose as a decent person who could get along with us, all they would have proved was that they could have gotten along with us all the time and that the true fault is, and always was, with them.

It is a sad fact of life that people sometimes cannot get along with each other. In the history of this community, we have had a woefully large number of encounters with persons who, rather than accepting this fact and moving on with life, have chosen to try and destroy our community. The internet's a big enough place. We moved here. If they want to follow, they have to abide by our rules. If they don't want to abide by our rules, but insist on coming here any way, we ban them.
