It seemed as plain as sandpaper now that Maljonic would have to go it alone; he was a long way from the Discworld, it seemed like a distant memory in another universe as he walked among the pigeons under the Arc de Triomphe. Mister Pratchett wasn’t here yet, he wasn’t meant to be here for at least another hour; Maljonic wanted to be on top of the monument by then, with a good view of the surrounding area and the Eiffel Tower – if they were going to catch up with him here, he wanted to see it coming… Still, it may not be as bad as all that yet; he would have to wait and see what Terry did next.
